"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Just a note, though, about your gallery, as- in your wallpapers and collages, you can only use things you've done or things you have permission to use: FAQ #157:Can I use things created by other people in my submissions? Otherwise, you run the risk of including artwotk that someone could take down for violating DA's TOS, aka the Terms of Service. While there's many sites that do allow for this, DA's not, since it's dedicated to original work.
That doesn't mean you can't upload collages and wallpapers, however! There's tons of stock on DA and off, and, if all else falls, ask people if you can use their stuff.
Keep in mind- I'm *not* part of admin. So don't freak. I'm just giving you a head's up and giving you suggestions. Keep on groovin'!
